Terms of Service

These terms govern use of the PostTide service provided by BitShore Ltd ("PostTide", "we"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and our privacy policy. If you are using PostTide on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have the authority to bind that organization.

1. The service

PostTide is a social-media management platform for creators, freelancers, and agencies. Features available on your account depend on your subscription tier, described on the pricing page. We may add, change, or remove features; where we remove a feature included in a paid tier, we will give reasonable notice and offer a credit or refund where appropriate.

2. Account registration

You need a valid email address and must be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for maintaining account credentials and for activity on your account. Shared accounts are not permitted; each individual who uses PostTide must have their own seat.

3. Pricing, billing, and changes

Subscriptions renew automatically on the billing cycle you selected (monthly or annual). Prices are shown in USD unless stated otherwise. We will give at least 30 days' notice before increasing the price of your active subscription; you may cancel before the increase takes effect. Applicable taxes are added at checkout where required by law.

4. Free trial

A 7-day trial is offered to new customers. No charge is made during the trial. A valid card is required at signup for some trial variants; if present, it will be charged on day 8 unless you cancel. Trials are limited to one per person or organization.

5. Cancellation, refunds, and the 14-day cooling-off period

You can cancel or downgrade at any time from your billing settings — no phone call, no retention form. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle; you keep paid-tier features until that date. If you cancel a paid plan, your account is locked but your data is retained for 12 months, and you can reactivate at any point during that window; after it passes, data is permanently deleted. Refunds and 14-day cooling-off: within 14 days of your first paid charge you may request a full refund (a cooling-off period), limited to one per organization. There is deliberately no self-serve refund button — email support@posttide.com and we process it for you. When you subscribe you ask us to begin the service immediately and acknowledge that, under EU/UK consumer law, starting a digital service right away can end the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal; we nonetheless honor the 14-day refund as a matter of policy. After 14 days, we issue refunds only where required by law or at our discretion for service-quality reasons. 6. Acceptable use

You may not use PostTide to send spam, harass or stalk others, distribute malware, infringe third-party rights, violate platform policies of connected channels, or engage in fraud. You are responsible for ensuring your content complies with the terms of each connected social platform. We may suspend accounts that repeatedly violate connected-platform policies where those violations create risk for PostTide or other users.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of everything you upload or draft. You grant PostTide a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and transmit your content solely to operate the service on your behalf — for example, to preview a draft, to publish a scheduled post, or to generate analytics. This licence ends when you delete the content or when your data-retention window expires after cancellation.

8. Connected platforms

PostTide integrates with third-party platforms (X, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and others). Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms; we are not responsible for changes they make to their APIs, rate limits, or policies. If a platform revokes our access or limits our capabilities, we will update you, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to any third-party channel.

9. AI features

PostTide uses third-party AI providers (e.g. Anthropic via the Vercel AI Gateway) to power caption tuning, summarisation, and moderation. We do not train external AI models on your content. AI output can contain errors; you remain responsible for reviewing content before it is published. Where AI is used to moderate messages, we publish the criteria and give you an override path.

10. Marketplace

Our marketplace connects agencies with prospective clients. Transactions between agencies and clients are between those parties; PostTide facilitates payments via Stripe Connect. A platform fee applies; the current rate is shown in pricing. We do not guarantee work quality or outcomes — reviews and reputation are the user's primary signal.

11. Data and privacy

Our processing of your personal data is described in the privacy policy. For business customers who process personal data through PostTide, our data processing agreement applies and is available on request or at the DPA link below.

12. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided 'as is' without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PostTide's aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim and (b) USD $100. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited under applicable law.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. If changes are material, we will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in-app notification. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you a different right.
