Data Deletion

This page explains how to delete your PostTide data, including anything we obtained from the social platforms you connected. Every deletion request reaches a real person at privacy@posttide.com— there is no automated black hole, and we will confirm when the work is done.
1. Delete from inside PostTide
The fastest path is in the app: go to Settings → Account → Delete account. This removes your organization, all drafts, uploaded media, comments, and the connected-channel access tokens we stored on your behalf. Once you confirm, the account is scheduled for deletion and you are signed out.
2. Request deletion by email
If you would rather not use the in-app flow, email privacy@posttide.com from the address associated with your account. We verify that the request comes from the account owner and action it within 30 days. Email us if you have lost access to your account address and we will help you verify your identity another way.
3. Data from connected social accounts
When you disconnect a channel or delete your account, we delete the OAuth access and refresh tokens we held for that platform, plus any posts and analytics we had cached from it — for Facebook and Instagram, and equally for X, LinkedIn, and TikTok — strictly within the scopes you authorized. We never held your platform password; we only ever held the tokens you granted us. To also remove PostTide's access on the platform's own side, revoke it in that platform's app settings (for Facebook and Instagram: Meta Accounts Center → Apps and websites).
4. What we delete, and when
Account and content data are kept while your subscription is active. On cancellation, your organization enters a 90-day restore window during which you can bring it back; after that window passes, the data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Technical logs are retained for up to 180 days. The only exception is records we are legally required to keep — for example, invoices for tax law, typically held for around 7 years.
